| Mechanical device used to force more air into the combustion chamber. A turbo charger uses exhaust gas to spin the impellor wheels, forcing more air into the intake. More air allows for more fuel which allows for a greater explosion in the combustion chamber. Turbochargers give more horsepower but reduce engine life. Turbos should only be used on engines that are design to handle them. |
